About the 17th Piano Duo Competition

Composition competition was established to develop the performance of piano duo and encourage rising composers and their activities in this field.
*This time, the competition is hold to collect duo works as a set of piece for the 18th performance competition.
*Qualifications
No restrictions as to nationality, age and education.
*Pieces Music Applicable
Only pieces that have never been publicly presented may be submitted.
Piano duo pieces which can be played with four hands, even using one piano or two pianos.
Length: 4 minutes~ 6 minutes.
Note: Free arrangement or “theme and variations” are all right.
*Deadline of Application
The application, fee, and wok must be reached us by March 1, 2012 without fail.
*Prizes, Awards
Superior Prize : 300.000Yen
This prize winning work will be used as a set of piece for the 18th Piano duo competition.
Encouragement Awards: 30,000 Yen, for some works.
